Tell Me Baby, What’s Your Story?

Ooo yeah I have stories to tell alright. Let’s begin with my sister’s and dad’s birthday, which I mentioned in my previous post which was God knows how many weeks ago (dammit). I’m losing touch with this updating thing weh.
.
.
.

<<br />.
.
.

For Lynn’s birthday, we went toJack’s Place Restaurant in Sunway Pyramid for lunch since we’ve not been there before, and Dad claimed that this place was from Singapore where we used to live in years back, so yeah.
.
.
.

.
.
.

.
.
.

Well there’s nothing much to ‘wow’ about the food there, but it ain’t too bad. The service there is actually good I must say.

Then we headed to this new sort-of-shopping-mall place in Kelana Jaya, it’s called Niu Ze Xui. Not sure if you people heard of it. If you haven’t, then google it. Take my words, just google it and view some pictures. That should do. Don’t bother driving all the way down there to check it out. Save your petrol,. please.

But there is one thing that I loved and actually caught my attention in Niu Ze Xui…
.
.
.

.
.
.

STARBUCKS! Whichhhhh.. actually had some London-ish concept look weh. Well, to me that is. Niu Ze Xui isn’t all kampong and chinese lah okay, they have Starbucks there okay. And Big Apple too. Other than these two, let’s move on to another topic. Haha
.
.

And this is my favourite part of birthday celebrations when it isn’t my birthday (cos when it’s my bday, I get presents, so when it’s not, this is my fav part)…
.
.
.

.
.
.

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKEEEE!!

Look at the amount of STRAWBERRIESSSSS! Yummm

I tell you, when I get married next time, I want my husband to get me a wedding cake made of alllll strawberries! Hehehe
.
.
.

.
.
.

Cute right my family, I know. Actually more to like "cute right my mom?" .. Lol. Somehow she just loved the Guess shades Nick bought for my sister for her birthday that she even wore it during the INDOOR photograph session.

"Ma.. take it off la.. so funny lah.."

And then we took another shot of her without the shades. She took the camera and viewed the photo and said,

"Girl.. see lah. You asked me to take out.. now I don’t look pretty already.."

Now I see where I got my randomness from. (:
.
.
.

.
.
.

Okay, now moving on to Dad’s birthday.
.
.
.

.
.
.

Does that thing looks familiar? You sure?
.
.
.

.
.
.

Yea! It’s Korean BBQ, where we use lard (pork fats) instead of butter or whatever to cook the meat and food. It’s strictly non-halal and boy you should have seen how those lards were like. They were like big chunky chunky cuboid pieces of pork fats weh! Boy I don’t mean to disgust or offend anyone, but to all Malays, this is a true fact in the non-halal society weh. Sorry.
.
.
.

.
.
.

For dinner, we went to this restaurant in 1 Utama (since we were there for a movie), I can’t really recall its name, but it’s something something Melaka. And may I warn you, please don’t even think of eating in that restaurant. The food not only down graded, but the service was horrible.

My dad gave a comment to the staff on how the food was bad and their quality actually dropped by alot compared to the last time we went there, and all the staff could response was,

"Oh… Really ahh?? Heh-heh… =) "
.
.

-.-

WTF was the HEH-HEH and the stupid smile for.. Summore can ask, REALLY AH? Then what they want us to answer??? "Oh no ahhh, I was just kidding ah.. heh-heh"????  Mangkuk betul. The staff could at least apologize and say that he’ll inform the manager or the kitchen or something right, better than REALLY AH HEHEHE. Sheesh.
.
.
.

.
.
.

This year daddy’s birthday cake was a lil more special. It looks really beautiful and it’s some combination of chocolate and coffee kind of thing, yeahh.. sorry, forgotten the name once again. Sudden short-term memory attack I suppose?
.
.
.

.
.
.

We always buy our cakes from Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel. Seriously, they bake realllly good cakes. Go give it a try when you have the chance. =) My first recomendation would be ALICIER. It’s MARVELOUSSSS

I am very depressed right now.

Want to know why?

Because I’m being very mean and ditching my blog. My blog is very depressed and is being very emo. One night I woke up from my sleep to drink some water, and I peeped at my computer screen. I saw my blog crying and sobbing. I felt like crying too.

Eh serious lahhhhhh…. Im very emo now.. Cos I used to be a very active blogger. And a very active photographer! My close buddies should know how much blogging means to me. I even bought my own freaking domain name for my blog lah weh. It’s similar to how celebrities buy Louis Vuitton or Chanel clothes for their puppies or dogs you know. Same same.

But ever since college life started, and the lecturers keep throwing assignments right up to my face until I could barely find my nose hole to breathe and exhale, I had no time at all in the blogosphere. My visitors traffic also decreased like anything. Some of my loyal readers also dunno fly go where already. Advertisers also take years to offer me and ad now. They take years to pay me. My domain is losing its sponsors. I’m becoming more and more boring and lame (you better not agree to this ah I tell you). People don’t want to listen or read what I want to say anymore.

SAD WEHH…
.
.

BUT NOWWWWW….. Muahahaha, my semester is ending weh! Like in 2 weeks time or so, I’m going to be bloody free like a bird. Hopefully not too free until I get super bored until I have to start counting how many leg hair or armpit hair I have lah.. Sigh.

See. Humans are so ridiculous. So demanding and confusing. Busy, then they will say SO BUSY LAHH. If free means, they will say TOO FREE LAHH DUNNO WHAT TO DO. What do humans want in life weh. Why like that. I don’t want to be human lah.

I want to be God.

(:

Okay lah. I shall spare you from my cockstories for today. And this time, I SWEAR TO YOU, TO GOD, TO MYSELF, TO THE WORLD AND TO EVERYONE that it SERIOUSLY won’t be long till the next update. SERIOUS. I know how scary it is when Malaysians use the word "serious", because it actually normally turns out to be the opposite meaning. But SERIOUSLY serious weh. I’m gonna try to pick back up my blogging pace.

Soooooooo… Till the next update (which is soon, promise!), take care all. And have a good weekend.
.
.

You know you love me,
XOXO. (I still can’t get enough of gossip girl weh)
.
.

Yours truly,
Cheryl.

February; The Month of Celebrations

14 Feb

Okay. Let’s begin with the greetings.

  • Happy Lunar New Year (as said by many, but I still prefer the term Chinese over Lunar)!
  • Happy coolest birthday to my coolest Mom! (February 10th 2008)
  • Happy 18th birthday to future pilot, Mr. Jian Tan! (February 12th 2008)

…and not forgetting,

Happy Valentine’s to all! :)
.
.

Wow. This simply shows how many celebrations there are in February–and I bet that’s not all the February babies there are.
.
.
.

.
.
.

As usual, we buy our cakes from Sunway Lagoon Hotel. This is, by far, the best and most delicious, soft and also at the same time, crunchy cake ever by Sunway.
.
.
.

.
.
.

Alicier is it’s name. A combination of Hazelnut, Chocolate and Coffee, what could beat that? Plus, all the toppings and decorative items on the cake are purely made of chocolate.

Serious shit. Mmm hmm

Mom, I don’t think you’ll ever read this, considering you don’t read my blog. But here’s to you, Mom.

My mother. Mom; particularly with the letter ‘o’ and not the ‘u’, is how I call her. I love my Mom a whole lot. As common as you may hear this from any child, but I do mean it. I love every one bit of my mother.

Loving my mother, is not only telling her I love her, or washing the dishes for her, or doing the chores just because she asked me to, or buying her pretty things.

Loving my mother, is also, showing her respect–which I admit, at times till now, I tend to accidentally don’t.

I must not lie to myself that I am still trying to learn this naturally. This as in respecting my mother. First thought to your head might be, "a rebelious daughter she is, not respecting her own mother??"
.
.

"Did you mop the bathroom after you showered today? The floor is still very wet you know. I’ve told you so many times, to mop it dry.. or the parquet is going to be over damped and spoil in long term…", said Mom.

Knowing myself clearly that yes, I did mop the floor after showering but perhaps I didn’t do a very good job, I was being the average child who could not bother more about answering a lil bit more politely.

"Ya Mom. I mopped already lar.. It’s just not dry yet okay, I dont know why, but I know I’ve mopped it already", I replied. In a not-so-friendly tone. And I’m not proud of that. At all.

That’s just a simple example.

Sometimes we don’t notice how we response to our mothers, to our parents. Even in small tiny issues, if we could just discard the irritated feeling we always felt when mothers speak to us, it would be so much better. So much more respectful in the natural way, not by force.

I don’t want to do this by force. I don’t want to do this just because I was taught to years ago that I should not speak in such tone with my mother, or I shouldn’t have been rude to my mother, or how I should have respected her.

No.

Not just because I was told to. No.

I want myself to grow out of it naturally. I want to learn sincerely to respect my mother in all ways, and at all times. BecauseI love her.
.
.

Loving my mother, is also, appreciating her. Showing her that I care about even the slightest thing.

"Nobody knows what the future holds." Commonly used. Often heard. Absolutely true.

Nobody knows if we have a tomorrow. Or how many tomorrows we have more. I don’t want to wake up and regret not doing these with my mom.

I like how my mom asks me to get her nails done for her.
I like how she doesn’t mind me dressing her up before leaving for somewhere out.
I like how she cooks my noodles just the way I want them; not too soft and the soup not too diluted
I like how she laughs, cos it’s soooo contagious
I like how she would laugh at small little things like it was her first joke on earth
I like how she wakes me up from my bed when it’s only 9am, and she lies to me and says it’s already 10am
I like how she’s sarcastic at times
I like how she tells stories; she giggles and chuckles before she even started telling it

I like everything about my mom.
.
.

How often do you get mothers who know their daughter who has a blog, but doesn’t go checking the blog up and ‘investigating’ on them?

My mom knows I blog. She knows my blog address. And I tell her bout my blog all the time. But she’s never read it even once (I think). Okay, even if my mom knows how to work the computer, I know she wouldn’t check on me like that.

She would let me out with my friends, even if most of the times, it would be a group of only 2 girls and 7 boys. Or 2 girls and 10 boys.

She never questioned me when I said I’ve done my revisions.
She believes that I wouldn’t take her trust for granted.

That’s how much my mom trusts me and respects me. And I am more than grateful for that. Why can’t I play the bigger role for her in that?

Mom, I love you. Always.

Yours truly,
Cheryl, Happy Valentines, I love you :)

iPHONE!

FCKIN YEAH. Ahhahha

I’ve not taken nice photos of the iPhone yet, so too bad, can’t post it up now. But I’ve taken quite a few pictures using the iPhone.. and the quality for a 2megapixel phone, mind you, is waaaay goooood.

The pictures look nicer in the iPhone itself, rather than in the computer when extracted out though.
.
.
.

.
.
.

Yeah that’s my living hall. Red black and white theme. I chose the colours. Muahahha.. honestly they’re very daring colours.

What can I say? My sister and I are into it and we’ve got good choices. ;)

Even my new Christmas tree is white in colour, with red and black balls! Black, I hear you ask? Hmmm.. yeah it’s a different Christmas this year I suppose.
.
.

Here are more pictures taken with the iPhone.
.
.
.

.
.
.

My family and I went to Ikea for a lil’ shopping for the new house.. and went over to The Curve for dinner, at Little Penang.

And I can safely and honestly tell the world that, this is my first time ever, ordering something red and spicy from a menu.

Seriously.

I would normally always go for just the non-spicy dishes like fried rice, plain noodles.. yada yada yada.. *yawns*

HAH!
.
.
.

.
.
.

.
.
.

Ahah fuck man, I’m so fck’n red. The aftertaste is spicy.. really.. hahah
.
.

And after dinner, we all went to Asia Cafe for desserts/supper or whatever you want to call it. I would call it extra fats.

My sister has been telling me so much about thisIndo Mee from Asia Cafe, which is bloody must try.
.
.
.

.
.
.

It is OFFICIALLY the best mee goreng in the whole entire universe, EVER!

Really! Go try, single is RM2.50, double is RM3.80. They both come with fried eggs. Worth the try, really!
.
.
.

.
.
.

All photos taken with the iPhone man seriously. If to compare, for close up macro shots, it’s obviously not as clear as my current 6mp digicam lar.. BUT HECK.. it’s still frik’n good enough.

So dammmnnnnn coooooooooool…
.
.

And oh, Christmas is coming!

MERRY EARLY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

May all your years be merry and have a wonderful, blessed Christmas. God bless all.

It was Nick’s (my sister’s boyfriend’s) birthday on November 2nd 2007. We celebrated at La Bodega at Bangsar Village. Iwan and family came along too!

Iwan really missed my mom a whole lot. It was time to leave for home, and he didn’t wanna go home at all. He was literally hugging onto my mom’s legs so she couldn’t walk away. Hahah! Kids.

Till the next update, all the best to all the SPM candidates. =)
