How can I be more grateful than I am right now for what I’ve finally managed to achieve..

I’m overwhelmed with joy and very very relieved. At last..

I’VE FINALLY GOTTEN A SCHOLARSHIP! 50% !! FROM LIMKOKWING UNI!

HELL YEAH
.
.
The happiest part is that this scholarship is applicable starting from my current Semester 2 (right now) till throughout of my whole BA (Hons) in Professional Design Degree programme!

No words or pictures or whatever shit can describe how frik’n happy I was, and still am, when I got the news over the phone I tell you.. No one. Nothing. Na’ uhh.

And may I say, the cutest part of this thing is… the offer letter perhaps? Here read it. And note the part where I highlighted in yellow.. heh
.
.
.

.
.
.
Enjoy 50% off.

Sounds like some Mega Sales la weh. Seriously. Very funny.

But I don’t give a shit, cos that’s not the important thing. Muahahaaa sorry I’m very happy, forgive me.
.
.
I feel so proud of myself weh (cehwahh). No la, actually I’m just damn grateful that I didn’t give up trying for this (I couldn’t afford to give up anyway, lol).

When I applied for this scholarship, the guy (local student counsellor) said this to me,

“Ehh… Cheryl Ho… you again ah?? If I’m not wrong.. last semester you got apply before right.. And rejected. Eh and The Star Scholarship also you apply right.. BUT, rejected also. So this is your 3rd time applying ah?”

-.-
.
.

He jokingly added,

“Alaa eh, don’t need to apply already la.. 1st time rejected, 2nd time also rejected, this 3rd time also SURE reject one. Don’t waste your time la..”

He even suggested me to apply for Sin Chew and Nanyang Scholarship instead. Wth.

Joker.

BUT, thank God he was really helpful with my application. We went through quite an interesting conversation. I’m very lucky because I applied this on a Friday, and the following Monday he called me up straight. If that is not lucky then I dont know what is.
.
.
.

Anyways, now that my Semester 2 began, and Week 2 of it just passed, my assignments are already starting to pile up like dog weh. Cannot take it.

Have to sketch 50 human figures per week you know! And alot more of other assignments and projects. But I enjoy doing it, so it’s not all that bad. Just that it’s very time consuming. Thus, the lesser updates on my blog. (:

Sorry darlings. Don’t get emo. I might be slow and away for a while but I’m not gone, not even if you want me to be. Muahah
.
.
.

Okay it’s 2am now, I want to tido already because tomorrow is yet another long day of assignments-marathon. So goodnight my darlings and wait,

So what’s the moral of the story today?

NEVER. GIVE. UP.  *with Terms & Conditions applied*
.
.
Hahahahh.

Byebye machas and braders.
.
.

Yours truly,
Cheryl, please buy me a DSLR..

.

Have you ever been into a jungle? No, seriously. Jungle as in hutan. Hutan as in betul betul hutan punya jungle!!
.
.
.

.
.
.

First of all, Desaria is Limkokwing’s off-campus. It’s situated in Cyberjaya (actually it’s also considered at one end of Puchong), about 10 mins drive from Limkokwing University.

So that’s basically where most of my college mates live.

Before that, I don’t get why all, or at least most college campuses have to be named something something -RIA. It just has to end with the word -RIA behind.

WHY AH?

For example, DesaRIA. There’s one more LKW off campus in Cyberjaya, named CybeRIA. And to my latest knowledge, Brenda just told me her ATC college mates in Kuala Lumpur lives in this apartment called FabeRIA.

Desaria. Cyberia. Faberia.

What -RIA summore they want? I don’t get it. If they ever come out with one that’s gonna be named Ceria, I WILL LAUGH WEH REALLY.
.
.

Anyway, back to my jungle story.

Near Desaria, actually just beside Desaria, there are two jungles. One is a really huge jungle, like a real one, where you can really get lost in there and once you enter you’ll never get out that kinda jungle? Yeah. And one more, is like a mini jungle. Not thaaaaaaat scary cos it’s not thaaaat huge compared to the other one, but STILL. It’s still a jungle.

Veen and I, oh in case you are a new reader here, Veen is my college mate, class mate, my project partner and a good friend of mine in college. So yeah. Veen and I were suppose to go look for some broken thin and small tree branches for our Design Studies project which was based on the topic Sculpture.

I don’t know what gave us the guts all of sudden, but we actually did enter the mini jungle beside Desaria…… for 2 minutes and 46 seconds only that is.

COS WE COULDN’T STAND IT!

There were clusters, no no.. more to like gazillions of mosquitoes chasing and flying around us! So freakkkkayyhh! I don’t want to appear on the front cover of the newspaper the next day saying A GIRL DIED BECAUSE OF BEING ATTACKED BY MILLIONS OF MOSQUITOES.

And not only that la, but you know right, when you enter jungles, everyone says that you should always ask for "permission" before entering it and such. Basically we didn’t really asked for the "permission". We sort of just intruded the jungle and kept telling ourselves "Weh let’s just get our branches and run and leave. FASTER FASTER."

Just a lil while in the jungle and I already felt the creeps and the freaky feeling like you know how you get cold chills and all. Eeeeek. =S
.
.

So yeah. Obvious enough, we didn’t manage to get our tree branches. So as an alternative plan, we changed our form of materials for our sculpture.
.
.
.

.
.
.

Simple enough. You can try too. If you watch art attack on Disney Channel, or attend any sorts of art lessons, you probably would know about this form of art and craft.

So the materials used here was newspaper, toilet tissue paper, and PVA glue.
.
.
.

.
.
.

And I do have the picture of when it’s fully finished, but just not in this computer right now. So I’ll post up the final finished work of our sculture later on.

Anyway, enough about art.

Let’s talk something freaky.

Do you believe in spirits? =S

You know how people always say it’s not good to talk aloud or publicly about "The Dark" (meaning spirits, ghosts, etc).. so yeah, maybe it’s not very convenient if I do so. But I did tell this incident to a few friends. And among 4 that I told, three were spooked out just like how I was, and only one was laughing when I was telling the story. Ish. Kampong jakun betul, you know who you are.. heh.
.
.

Basically the story is about this guy who approached two of my friends and started talking to them, and he started giving the most vivid explanations on heaven and hell, and telling ghost stories like he was reading it from a book, it was like he could talk about it like he was there watching it or as if he’s been there kinda thing. And when my friend needed RM2.50 to buy a burger, he just put his hands into his pocket and took out a whole bunch of 10cents 20cents coins, which when my friend counted them, they actually totaled up to exactly  RM2.50. And mind you, his pocket still had loads more coins, so its merely impossible how he could take out exactly 2.50 so accurately and quickly.

And when my friend asked him in a jokingly manner, "Dude are you dead?" .. that guy just gave a slight smile and shrugged.
.
.

WELLLLL………. I’m not concluding anything, but he could at least say Yes or No, or reply in a sarcastic manner or some shit. Rather than just a shrug. Freakky.

There’s more to this story and what happened in detail, but I don’t wanna mention it here. To finish up it in a short way, my friend asked for his name, and the next day my friend googled that dude’s name. It seems that that dude’s name is an equation to a devil’s number.

I was like WTFF PLEASE KILL ME NOW. Why they telling me spooky stories when it’s already late night!

And whether it’s coinsidence or NOT, when I tried to google that dude’s name just a few days ago, my computer just suddenly hanged and in a few minutes it restarted by itself. And I was just about to publish a post for my blog, I haven’t saved it yet, and my comp just hanged like that and restarted. It was working perfectly fine before that. Just until I googled that, and POOOOF……… Magic? Coinsidence? Or……..

I don’t know. That’s for you to think.
.
.

Okay, I hope your bedtime sleep is not affected after reading this. That’s all for now. I want to be Chinese and watch some Chinese dramas on ASTRO Wah Lai Toi now, since my mom never subscribe to ASTRO ON DEMAND. Sigh.

Okay byebye.
.
.

Yours truly,
Cheryl, I want some "zhan chu lai cha" (ice blended bubble tea).

Finally An Update!

3 May

Tell me about it man.. Oh wait. Before I begin with everything that I’ve missed out for almost 3 weeks in this blog…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISTER, LYNNIE! which her birthday was yesterday..

and..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DADDY! whose birthday is TODAY.

Yes. Their birthdays fall on one day after the other. And, I’ll be updating on the birthdays after this post.

Meanwhile, the reason I basically couldn’t spare time for blogging lately, is due to my loaded assignments which are piling up as high as a mountain! Well, not literally. Before that, I’m not sure if you guys do remember me mentioning about my Measurement Test in Life Drawing Class.. and as promised of some pictures, here they are.
.
.
.

.
.
.

This was just the Pre-Test composition. The real test was 3 times more complex than this pre-test one! The lecturer added in like more chairs, and stands, and objects in.. and we had to measure everything to scale! I scored the highest mark in class! Muahah.. Sorry, just a lil overwhelmed with joy.
.
.

I have a whole bunch of artwork to share with everyone today. I snapped photos of my artwork.. and just thought of putting them up here. So if you’re gonna be seeing these, I suggest you grab a comfortable pillow and maybe some tasty popcorn and lay back for a while. Cos this is gonna take quite a while, considering how many artwork I have here to share. Eheh  (:
.
.
.

.
.
.

.
.
.

As much as I love the painting just as it is as above, but the assignment was based on secondary colours. And secondary colours means purple and green too. Not quite my favourite colours..  =(
.
.
.

.
.
.

.
.
.
My friends kept telling me on and on, they couldn’t stop saying how my artwork above looked so much like an Arabic lady. And 5 minutes after they left, someone tapped me on the back of my shoulders. I turned, and there stood an Arabic lady asking if she could sit next to me and watch me finish my above artwork. I nearly fainted of the coinsidence that couldn’t just really happened! And to top that, my classmate passed by me, saw my artwork, and said,

"Oh my.. it’s really pretty.. Did you draw her?? It’s amazing!"  (’her’ as in the Arabic girl sitting next to me just then)

Sheeesh. That was freaky. Cos I really didn’t draw any Arabic girl that I know or don’t know of.
.
.
.

.
.
.

Not a very super clear picture, but the media used was colour pencils only.
.
.
.

.
.
.

The above painting was achieved using Poster Colours, and with a few specific design concepts, which are Simplification, Economic and colour theory of analogous.
.
.
.

.
.
.

This is a Monochromatic painting, using concepts of Modification and Dominant.
.
.

The following two artwork are done with only using pencils ranging from F, 2B, 3B, 5B and 6B. Basically these following two are just some quality of lines and shading to create space assignment.
.
.
.

.
.
.

.
.
.

The following artwork is based on Texture. And I’ve applied the techniques of Assemblage and Collage to my knowledge of texture. It is one of my favourite pieces of work, and one of those I’m most proud of..
.
.
.

.
.
.

Hmm.. now let’s move on to some sketching. I have both organic and geometric examples of sketches. Check out this artwork by my lecturer herself. I believe she finished it in about less than 10 minutes.

As for my own pieces, I have two here which are organic subjects.

Right now I’m totally exhausted from the 2-days-outtahome-marathon! I’ve been out from morning till night two days back to back, celebrating my sister’s and dad’s birthday. And I bought quite a few stuffs during shopping just now. It was though as if I didn’t shop for 10 years or something.
.
.
Okay, you know… I mean, I know that you know that I haven’t been blogging for quite some time already. And my precious always-loved blog is now turning into a lonely quiet dark street, like your cat just died.. or something.. well, not literally.. but.. AHH, yes. Whatever.

Yeah, I know. It’s been a while since I was the full-time active blogger and all, but to all my dear readers, do forgive me. And I shall try to regain that spirit, or more to like, TIME, for that.. again. Ahahh..

Till the next time I upload alllllll the birthday pictures and tell more stories about my current happening life, ahem, excuse me, :P  but yeah. Won’t be too long away, I promise!

Pssst.. by the way, I’m stucked over Gossip Girl now. Thanks to Michelle. I watched the entire Season 1 Part 1 in 2 days, about 12 hours straight on the couch! Now I feel like being a Gossip Girl. No, wait. Not A Gossip girl, I meant, THE Gossip Girl.

Muahahah.

Alright darlings. You know you love me. XOXO, Cheryl. (ripped from gossip girl)

Okay, so not me. Let’s try…

Yours truly,
Cheryl, (this’s more like it)  (:

I’ve Been Sooooooooo Tied Down

Filed under: College, Outings — Cheryl
10 Apr

…. and I still am, as a fatter of fact.

Assignments, assignments, assignments!

Pilling up more and more day by day. I’m like, WHATTHEHECK, there has, AT LEAST, got to be a fullstop to this sometime somewhere man. Or even a comma would be really helpful in this situation!

I’ve been so tied down with all my artwork, that I have no time to blog and update. So saddening. Even more saddening when I’m seeing my other friends who are still so very free, funning around, going shopping and yamcha-ing at late nights.

Sheeeesh.

I wanna go to a party. I wanna meet up with old friends. I wanna go shopping. I miss going clubbing. I wanna drink. I NEED TO FCK’N CHILLL man.

But well, knowing that wouldn’t be till quite a while more, so here are some pictures I have when my sister, Nick and I went to Genting just last weekend.

Enjoy.
.

(Don’t ask me what bug is that, I suck in insects and things that fly around. I’m just good in killing them)

We three were having a drink at Starbucks, and we played the Helicopter game in the iPhone. Helicopter is a very addictive game, mind you. They have it online too.
.
.

And you know, I have this class, it’s called Creative Studies, where they teach you how to be….. creative (like duhh right). No, I’m serious.

And Creative Studies assignments are just… the craziest. We REALLY have to think beyond the line and outside the box man.

Based on the animal we chose (I chose a poodle, and no, that doesn’t classify me as a bimbo), we have to transform or compare how an object is similar to the animal we chose. So my object chosen was Volkswagen Beetle, and animal was Poodle. I was like how the hell these two can be related and have similarities. We even hadda paint our final drawing out! And this was what I came out with.
.
.
.

.
.
.

Excuse the drawing and painting though. Just a very simple cartoonish art here. But my point is, we can really go bald in creative studies class. REALLY. This is just one of the easiest assignment, by the way.

Oh and speaking of work, I have Life Drawing Measurement test tomorrowwwwwwwww. Shit. I’m gonna try to take pictures tomorrow, and post it up here to let you guys see how my tests are like.

Since I don’t have to deal with figures, or scientific terms, or mathematical formulae, or calculators or algebra anymore, and my tests in coll now are totally different from many others, I think it’ll be interesting to share how semester tests in Limkokwing go about.

Eheh.

Till then, all you take care. (:
