On Coffee In The Mornings
There’s nothing better that could start off a great morning for me except for a nice cup of iced coffee.
I always buy a cup of coffee from Toast Box before I begin work in Pyramid. It’s the best. And without coffee before I begin work, time seems to pass just extra slowly for the entire day; which is sad and terrible.
And for dinner, I’ld have another cup of iced coffee.
Over dosage of caffeine?
Perhaps. *shrugs*
Here’s a short story to tell today.
The past few days when I was having dinner alone during working days, I’ve discovered one thing. There was one day where I had a plate of Yong Chow Fried Rice from Jusco’s food court.
When I got my food, I took the tray and started looking for a seat.
Somehow or another, I realized how the seatings were separated into two different sides; The Family/Couple side, and the Alone/Singles side.
Obviously, I wanted to be away from the large crowd of people, I sat at the quieter side. Yes, in the more harsh term; the Loners side.
And the people on the same side as me, were either also workers somewhere in Pyramid, or just plain lonely people. But I was secretly watching how they were doing their own things (no I’m not a stalker).
Some were just playing around with their fork and spoons. Some listening to their music players. Some were texting via mobiles. Some just daydreaming. And the saddest one, who happens to be sitting right opposite me, was an old man, just staring blankly at his gold wedding ring. He held the ring with his right hand, in between his thumb and his index finger, simply just rolling it back and forth; With a very depressed look on his face.
I felt sad for him.
I did not want him to notice that I was watching over him, so I turned away. I grabbed up my Cleo magazine, and started flipping through pages, though not reading anything seriously.
My attention was more on the poor old lonely man.
Later, I took a glance at him again. He took off his big square-framed spectacles off, and tears rolled down his cheeks.
I felt even worse for him. I felt like I wanted to approach him, and talk to him. Though I couldn’t have done much, least if he needed someone to hear him out…
…but I didn’t have the guts to.
I couldn’t bear watching another tear roll down his wrinkled cheeks again. So I grabbed my magazine and my 42cents mineral water, and left.
I’m still curious till today, of what happened to the poor old man.
Sigh.

Nowadays, I would buy a cup of iced coffee not only in the mornings, but during dinner breaks as well. That means two cups of coffee per day. Coffee lover, no?
There was one day where I literally spent 40 minutes of my dinner break shopping around almost the entire Pyramid, and almost forgotten to grab my dinner… though yes it was dinner break literally. Haha
So I ran into Bread Story, and grabbed a Chicken Floss Sausage Bun for RM2.80. Since I had nowhere to sit and eat my bun and sip my coffee, I was biting and chewing while walking back to my flower shop. Before I reached my shop, I walked passed the main entrance at J.Co.
I felt a nice breeze from the outside.
I went out, and sat on the stairs, ate my bun and drank my coffee while the cold winds were blowing through my thin shoulder-length hair.
Sitting on the stairs never felt that great before.
You should try.

Everyone’s probably already asleep in bed. Perhaps leaving back to hometown early tomorrow morning.
Well I’m not. I would be just here, since my dad’s hometown is in like Subang Jaya anyways. Mom’s is in Seremban, so that would be a one-day-trip on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year.
Heee heeee.
I’ll be working halfday tomorrow! Then it’s THE END of work! I’m sooooo happpy. And I should be getting my pay tomorrow! IN CASH! Even happierrrr!!!
I so need to relax and enjoy and chill out and party all over again. Seriously. Wahhaha. =)
p/s: Any suggestions of what nice brands/shops that sells pretty handbags?
Happy Chinese Moo Year to ALL of you *hugs* :)
