Mitch Albom

…..is an awesome author.

I love his books. I’ve read The Five People You Meet In Heaven, and half of For One More Day.

I was 2 hours early for work the other day, so I went to this bookshop called Times. I found the bookFor One More Day by Mitch Albom.. and I flipped to the back of the book to read what was this thing about.

So alright, it sounded interesting from the synopsis. I thought, "yeah you know maybe I’ll read the introduction and see what’s good in there to dig.."
.
.

The next moment when I moved my eyes over my watch, I noticed that I’m only left with 15 minutes more till my work starts and my index finger as the bookmark was already at the middle of the book.

I’ve read half of the book. I know I find it odd too– that I’d rather ditch shopping or window shopping or whatever shopping for a book.
.
.
.

.
.
.

I’m halfway to the ending. Anybody kind enough to lend me the book?
.
.

It was really touching when I read bout the mother father part in the book.. I actually silently teared while reading it at one corner of the bookshop. I was thinking to myself about my own parents. My mother. My father.

And I’ve realised, how much more I have yet to learn in life.

Picture Posting Day

Filed under: Friends, Outings — Cheryl

Because of my own laziness today, I’m self-declaring it a Picture Posting Day; whereby I need not say much, and as the famous line goes– "Let the pictures do the talking."

One of the days when Michelle and I were off from work, we decided to pay a small short visit to The Mines Shopping Complex. The last time I actually remember going there was… hmmmm, more than 8 years ago?

Yes.

8 years back, and 8 years from then, The Mines was still, well I’d say, still rather dead. Nothing much to see, nothing much to shop, nothing much to eat.
.
.
.

.
.

Don’t mind the picture quality, would you? I didn’t bring my camera along.

And oh, let me introduce you to two little new faces in my blog here. Michelle’s sisters. I-Jen and I-Min.

Heeee.

I’m at home now. In my home. Yeah. My own home."Nothing feels like home".. I truly understand that quote now.
.
.

Sadly, I’m back on schedule for work again starting from tomorrow morning onwards, for a week’s period. But not to worry, I’m still gonna update my lil’ precious princess here in between the free time that I have. I feel that I have so much to say. So many things to share. So many things to wonder and to ask. But I don’t know which one or where to begin with.

I Can’t Help It

…..I just can’t.

I can’t help myself not blogging.

NOOO!

So I’m on the afternoon shift today, thus the free time to type this in the morning, and post it at night.. I officially cancel my "BLOGGER AWAY DAYS". Pfft.
.
.

Work has been.. umm.. fattening recently. I’m eating like a cow now. A hungry one.

I eat like 4-5 meals a day. Well, literally. Morning we’ll have like chee cheong fun, or wantan mee, or yong tau foo. Then lunch would be like indo mee, or fried rice.. or penang har mee.. then there would be snacks like Big Apple donuts, like at least two. Then dinner’s like rice, or noodles again, or sometimes McDonalds when I feel richer. Best part of all, when I get home, most of the times, there’s SUPPER!

Yay! -.-
.
.

I really see where the fats are coming from now. Well that’s not really the most painful thing to have to accept, but the fact that my wallet is forming into a HUGGGGEE hole now…. yeah.

I finally learnt in life how to spend my money on food, and not only clothings, shoes or accessories.

Yes! I’ve made myself human in life, finally.

But somehow, when I went home to my own home, I weighed myself and I lost a hundred grammes, amazingly.

This visit toPavilion was umm.. actually, ages ago. On Christmas day last year with my family. Another delayed post, I suppose? Eheh.

I’m not just posting this because it’s Pavilion and it’s like one of the newest mall kinda shit…..

….but because they have J.Co donuts there!  (I told you I’m turning into a fat pig now)
.

Hell yeah the Queue. Was. Unbelievable.

Lucky sister Lynn had Nick to line up for us while we girls went shopping.. Well he claims that’s her Christmas gift– lining up for J.Co’s.
.
.
.

.
.
.

We bought a dozen. Even though if you felt like buying just one, or maybe two donuts, but when you queue up for more than an hour just to get your donuts. TRUST ME, you won’t even mind just buying two dozens of them.

And one of my most favourite one……..
.
.
.

.
.
.

YUMMMM!!
.
.
.

That was just for snack and obviously, there was dinner. Mom had this.
.
.
.

.
.
.

And of course she tried this too..
.
.
.

.
.
.

…..and… and… I miss Mom. =(  I miss mommy’s food. I miss her noodles, her chickens, her vegetables..

NOO! Why do I keep talking about fooooooooooooddddddddddddddddddd

WHYYYYYYYYYYYY~
.
.

Okay. So I love food. So I like eating. It’s not a big deal. 4-5 meals a day. That’s normal. It’s human to eat. And I’m a growing girl! Hah!

Yes! If eating makes me happy, then eating is what I shall and will do.
.
.
.

I have work again tomorrow, so I’d better get some rest. Before that, I really miss home. And I miss Brenda who’s in NS now (yoohoo bum)!  I miss all my friends.. I miss my family.. and my home

..but well. Work is fun too. My colleagues are happening and fun people.. they make the working world fun. ;)
